REASONS OF BEING HAPPY AND HOW CAN

WE LIVE A HAPPY LIFE

In today’s world, holding onto a happy state of mind seems to be quite a daunting task, but
obviously not an impossible one though! Life is a beautiful combination of both the positive
and negative, and everything in between. The more you keep moving forward with a positive
mindset, the better you will get with the ongoings of life.
As long as we are breathing, we will keep on experiencing setbacks every now and then.
Nothing is permanent in life, neither happiness nor the struggles and practically, life and
everything about it is so very uncertain. Then why not look at the positive aspect of life and
try to focus on staying happy as long as this heart is still beating?

REASONS OF BEING HAPPY

 You are still alive today. Be thankful! In fact, many couldn’t see today’s light, but
you did! Isn’t this reason big enough to be happy? Maybe right now nothing seems to
be going your way, but as long as you’re alive, the door of hope still remains open.

 Nothing is permanent in this world, nothing! So be assured that your problems,


your emotional turmoil, all will pass, it’s just a matter of time only. So, whenever you
feel stressed out, just keep your calm and hold onto to yourself and let the storm pass.

 You are a warrior. Till now you must have gone through a number of situations
when, you’re on the verge of giving up, but you didn’t; rather you kept on moving
ahead with life. Celebrate those moments when you kept that warrior-like attitude and
won the adversities of life. The moment you start considering them as your building
blocks, the present hurdles won’t bother you much anymore.

 You are an exception. So is everyone. Don’t let others’ opinions and judgements
bother you. It’s not what define you. So don’t make the foolishness of comparing
yourself with others and destroy your peace of mind for that. What should matter you
is your own opinion regarding yourself. Take charge over your own life.

 You are loved. Be grateful that there are people out there in this world who loves you
genuinely. Consider yourself lucky as there are many who lacks this blessing in their
lives.
 You are in charge of your happiness actually. You just need to change the way you
perceive your life and experiences. As rightly said by Marcus Aurelius Antonius,
“Very little is needed to make a happy life; it is all within yourself, in your way of
thinking”. Thus, the faster we accept this, the simpler our lives will be.

HOW CAN WE LEAD A HAPPY LIFE

There is no hard and fast rule on leading a happy life as such, but yes you do get better with
experience, and keep growing. As stated rightly by Pearl S. Buck, “Growth itself contains the
germ of happiness”. Here are a few simple tips which you can follow on a regular basis.
 Wake up and go to bed with a positive mind. No matter whatever drama is going
on in your life right now, before hitting the sack, do not forget to take out at least five
minutes time to focus on the good things in your life and be thankful for that. Be
hopeful for a better next day always. And quite obvious, you will wake up with a
fresh mind.

 Look your setbacks as a stepping stone. The setbacks may dishearten us for the
moment (a natural human reaction!) but make sure not to let yourself engulf into that
emotion and let it control you. Instead try to focus on what lesson you learnt from that
and what your next moves should be.

 Don’t fall into the loop of emotional turmoil. Nobody wants to remain stuck in
negative emotions, but often we end up doing exactly that thing. As said earlier,
emotions come and go, so don’t let it control you, rather you need to take charge of
your emotions.

 Note down your goals for each day and try to fulfil them. A focussed mind will
prevent you from pondering into useless stuffs and will save you from getting
distracted.

 Stop taking life and people so seriously. We are here only for some time. So go easy
as much as you can.

 Read good motivational-inspirational books every night. Nothing new needs to be


told about this. It can help us in innumerable ways. A good book holds the power of
changing your life for the better. Try it yourself!

Overall to conclude, there are thousands of reasons to be happy in life, but we tend to crib for
the ones that we lack. A positive mindset can make a great impact in your own life as well as
on the lives of others.
