BELOVED KING DUNCAN MURDERED AT 39
“Those of his chamber, it seemed, had
done’t. Their hands and faces were
badged with blood.”
These were the trembling
words spoken by Thane
Lennox, upon discovering the
horrible dead sight of our dear
once-king. Indeed, the
chamberlains did not live fast
for our new king, the once
Thane of Glamis and Cawdor,
had killed them in a rage. You
know his name, know his
conquests, know his violent
battlewinner heart - indeed, it
was none other than the new
king of Scotland, Macbeth. He
has been crowned in rubies as
of recent. But yet, some
wonder...is it a rightful throne,
that Macbeth sits on, other
than one shrouded in a veil of
deception? We’ll find out. Read
on for all the details of this
deliciously gruesome murder-
along with the details of the
late king Duncan’s funeral.

Donnchad mac Crinain, known to us
lovingly as King Duncan, died just a
few days ago at age 38. Born faithfully
to the country he would grow to serve
well, it is a frail comfort that now his
bones rest with those of his ancestors
comfortably in the land he loved
most. The late king Duncan had two
sons, Malcolm and Donalbain, who are
well known to the public. Both have
been found missing and suspected to
have run away. This is full proof of
their guilt in hiring the chamberlains
that had faithfully sworn to guard
King Duncan’s chambers to kill him-or
so says our new king, Macbeth. More

KING DUNCAN
Murdered by who? Let’s see who we believe.
In the night three days ago, two
so-called chamberlains stood
guard outside the door of King
Duncan, awaiting his sleep.
Once confirmed, they snuck
inside and slashed him with
bloody daggers. Once killed,
the lazy scoundrels went to
their beds and pretended to
have no memory when awoken
by the brave Macduff and
Macbeth. This is what King
Macbeth claims happened.
However, many have begun to
speculate and spin the web of
rumour. Some believe that King
Macbeth conspired to kill the
king at Inverness Castle, for his
own ascent and gain.
Of course, this would appear a
foolish idea. A king is ordained
by God, chosen above all other
for their moral and heart.
Besides this certainty, Macbeth
served the king faithfully for
many years in content. Why
now should he choose to
strike? Indeed, the best course
of action would be to quash
such silly and baseless rumours.
Though the Herald has
exhausted a great many
resources to speak to the
chamberlains family, it seems
they have been taken in by the
royal family of Macbeth for
questioning. It is the great hope
of all those at the Herald and
likely the hope of all our
beloved readers too that King
Macbeth shall reign a great
many years.

The funeral of the late king
Duncan will take place on the 24th
of August 1040. It will be held at
Castle Forres, where the newly-
crowned King Macbeth of
Scotland now resides. Only the
nobility would be allowed to enter
the gates and the other public of
Scotland should stay well outside
in suitable mourning. The funeral
procession will begin at noon,
mourners are welcome to stand
outside Forres all day. King and
Queen Macbeth urge the Scottish
public to mourn their once-king and pray for hope of Scotland’s new
beginning.
