Recommendation Letter for Travis Neese

To whom it may concern:

It is my pleasure to recommend Travis Neese to be considered for a place in your organization. I have known
Travis for 4 years, since he was in my class for 8th grade science. More recently, he has been a regular
participant in the chess club after school for the past 3 years.

As a student, he was easy-going and competent. His grades were well above average and his conduct was
good. He was willing to ask questions when he needed to, and was also able to work with the other students
to complete project-type assignments as required.

As a member of the chess club, Travis has been consistent in his attendance and participation. If he does not
have a game going, he enjoys watching his friends play and discussing the game with them. He has on
several occasions been willing to travel to chess tournaments off-campus after school, arranging his own
transportation and showing up on time to the events. At those meets he has competed against students from
other schools with good sportsmanship and humor, and has won several significant games for his team.

I have found Travis to be a young man of good character. I have never observed or even heard a rumor of him
being dishonest. I have never known Travis to be mean-spirited or cruel, even in jest. He strikes me as being
someone who knows how to enjoy the company of his friends without being inappropriate.

I would expect Travis to be a good addition to your organization. I think that you will be getting a
well-balanced, intelligent, young man who will make healthy contributions to your community and will be an
asset toward the overall success of your team.

Thank you for your time.
