To Whom It May Concern:

It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation for Sarah Knight. I have known Sarah
for six years and throughout those years have observed her many great qualities. Sarah is a natural
leader, who leads by example, and a hardworking and conscientious student.

Sarah has been active in high school basketball for the last four years. It is through this athletic
involvement, that I have witnessed Sarah’s leadership strengths. Sarah is always willing to step up and
take charge, yet she is always willing to listen and incorporate the ideas and strategies of her
teammates.

Being an active member of extra-curricular activities, such as athletics, student council and National
Honor Society, has also taught Sarah the skills necessary to multi-task and prioritize. She is reliable and
hardworking and will not quit until the task at hand is complete. Throughout high school, Sarah has
found a balance between athletics and academics and has been very successful in both.

It is without reservation that I recommend Sarah for this position. Sarah will be a positive addition to
any establishment in which hard work, leadership, and dedication is expected.
