To whom it may concern,

I am pleased to provide a reference for the character of Alayna Babcock. I have been privileged to coach
Alayna in cross country and track and field since she was in middle school. It has been my experience
that she is a leader who always conducts herself in the highest manner, and with the most positive
attitude. She is a hard worker, dedicated to doing her best at whatever she does, and always looks out
for those around her.

Alayna has been one of the hardest workers I have encountered as a coach. She always asked to do one
more repetition of the workouts that the team was doing. She was usually the last person to stop a work
out because she kept going longer than everyone else on the team. She also made sure that she ran on
her weekends during the season, and throughout her summer to be as prepared as possible for the
upcoming season.

Alayna always makes sure she is getting the best results she can in life. This is true not only in running
but in her studies, church activity and relationships. Not only has she received multiple medals in state
championship running events, but her team won the academic state championship one year. She has
maintained a high cumulative GPA.

She is someone who sticks up for others and makes sure people feel included. This season she talked to
me about how certain teammates were treating another teammate and wanted to make sure that this
teammate was included and not ostracized. She also baked cookies for teammates at times to help them
feel a part of the team.

For these reasons and countless other positive experiences with her I know she will be successful at
whatever she chooses to pursue in life. She will be a powerful asset on any team she becomes a part of.

Respectfully,

Dave Hansen
