Sending this strong endorsement of Asia Hardin, a selfless and thoughtful student
athlete I’ve come to know over her four years at West Linn High School. Asia spent one year as
a student in my Advanced Algebra course and has played soccer for four years where I serve as
the Assistant Coach for the Girls Varsity Soccer Program. Asia’s commitment to her fellow
students, her extracurricular activities, and her academic subject matter have been exceptional.

As a Sophomore in my Advanced Algebra class, Asia’s aptitude in math easily earned

her A level marks. Additionally, it was Asia’s willingness to ask thoughtful questions that
impressed me most. She is the type of student that enjoys the challenge of tackling the tougher
problems and is always willing to lend a helping hand to her classmates. Due to her
intelligence, ability to pick up new material quickly, kind spirit, and patience, Asia was often
put in a role where she helped support her classmates with understanding new concepts. She is,
by all measures, an excellent student and enthusiastic learner in and out of the classroom.

On the soccer field, Asia is the consummate team player. Her calm demeanor paired
with great confidence in her ability provided an ideal platform for her show case her qualities of
a role model while winning over the trust of her teammates. This is further proven by her team
selecting her to be the captain her junior and senior years. While her words are scarce, her
actions are what resonate with her teammates and influence and inspire them to be better
player and better teammates.

Asia is one of the hardest working young ladies I have ever coached. Her never-give-up
attitude is a coach’s dream. No matter how physically demanding a practice was, Asia knew
she was capable of more and had the internal drive to purse it. When everyone on the team was
running out of steam, Asia was the first person to offer words of encouragement and provide a
powerful message that hard work pays off—then she would lead by example.

Beyond my professional endorsement, a personal one. Asia is an asset. A leader, full of

kindness and ambition, it’s been an honor to know her in the classroom and on the field. She is
an all-around great kid who promises to succeed in all his future endeavors. She is an excellent
representative of WLHS and will likewise represent your organization exceedingly well. I
recommend her without reservation, indeed, with enthusiasm.
