Respected Principal Ma’am, Vice Principal Ma’am, worthy teachers and my dear fellow brethren.

Aap sabko meri

Sadar Namaste. I am Srishti Sharma, and I am presently in class XII pursuing Humanities in this esteemed
institution. As you all must be aware, today we have gathered here to elect the school council for the session
2018-19, and I would like to present my candidature for the post of Head Girl.

At the outset, I’d like to say that it is indeed a great honor to be here, and I had been dreaming and praying
for this opportunity for the past four years, since my sister, Shraddha Sharma, became the Head Girl in the
session 2014-15, and I would be proud to carry forward the Legacy if given an opportunity. On a lighter note,
our family carries this genetic signature ever since my Father became the Head Boy back in his school days.

My father, being an Army Officer, provided me with the opportunity and privilege to study in nine different
schools in states like Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Haryana. I have been a part
of this institution since 2009, and had to move out for my 9 th and 10th to Jabalpur and Nagpur. My destiny
brought me back to my roots, and I think it is pertinent to mention that I have been fortunate enough to
follow the school motto, “Once a Bhavanite, I will always be a Bhavanite.”

Today through this platform I would like to highlight the fact that I have been an active part of the student
council for the past 6 years. I served for 5 years as House Prefect in this school, and I was the House Captain
during the session 2016-17 in Army Public School, Kamptee.

I believe myself to be a natural leader as I graciously take up responsibilities and am able to keep my calm
under all unforeseen circumstances. I do make an endeavor to bring focus and determination to each and every
task assigned, also persevere until completely satisfied with the result. To be an effective leader, being a team
player is of utmost importance, which I’ve learnt through team sports like Basketball, Football and also various
debate competitions I’ve participated in over the years. While I take a mature approach towards my work, I
try not to take myself too seriously. This, in addition to my amiable attitude, makes me approachable. I take
pride in being trustworthy and reliable by taking into account the opinions of others before making decisions
which eventually helps me to ensure the willing approval of my team.

I do not intend resorting to self-praise by saying that I have been doing equally well in academics, sports as
well as other co-curricular activities. I’ve been participating in all the major events held at our school with a
lot of zeal and enthusiasm. I am very fond of singing, adventure sports, travelling and exploring new dimensions
of life. I aspire to join the Indian Army but before that I want to be a responsible citizen and a good human
being at large. I will strive hard and make sincere endeavors to serve the school and uphold its glorious image.
If you all feel and believe that I am worthy enough to be the Head Girl of the school, kindly render trust in me
to hold this prestigious appointment and make you all proud of your election. I assure you the utmost devotion
and dedication to the council.

I believe that life is the most precious gift given to us by God and we should squeeze the best out of it. Let us
move together and have the common motto “Together for us, even sky is not the limit”.

Thank You.
