STORY TELLING RULES

The story telling is your TASK PERFORMANCE in Midterm.

Please be reminded of the following:

1. Video record yourself while telling a story

2. Provide necessary materials to conceptualize your story telling
Ex. Pictures, background music, make up, visual aids, props, costume.
3. The duration of the story telling will be a minimum of 6 minutes and a maximum of 10 minutes
only.
4. There must be no unnecessary cuts
5. Emphasize the following during the story telling
a. Author’s profile
b. Story characters
c. Settings
d. Plot
e. Morals
6. Deduction of 3 points will be given for less than a minimum and more than a maximum duration
7. CREATIVITY is the most significant part of the performance.
8. Provide a detailed outline of your performance from start to finish

Ex. I. Introduction – introducing myself

II. Presentation of the following

Author’s profile

Characters (write the names of the characters)

Setting (write the settings)

Plot (write the rising action, climax, falling action, denouement, resolution)

Moral (write the moral lesson of the story)

III. Actual Story telling

(Write the sequence of your performance) (ex. First part- in the middle of the
forest, 2 part – at the ocean, 3rd part- confrontations, etc. )

IV. Quiz (no need to write)

9. Provide your classmates a furnished copy of your assigned story (make sure it is approved by
your teacher)
10. Give a 10 item quiz (type of quiz – a combination of multiple choice and identification)
