Notes about On Site Archaeology

When considering the social/cultural impact of your object, remember that you are from the
year 4022. That means you have come from a time of different norms and values and we are
assuming that your culture looks different from ours today. As you create your response,
consider the following:

Why was it created? What purpose(s) would it serve?

Who would have made it? Does it appear to be one-of-a-kind?

Which group/members of society would have used this? Consider age, gender, class…

What does it tell us about the make-up/advancements of that culture? How does it fit with our
current 4022 culture?

What does this object tell us about this society and the different groups and social
institutions within it? Remember that social institutions that are most common from the
year 2022 are family, government, media, religion, military and work.

Go into specific detail wherever possible. Consider more than one option. DO NOT MAKE
EVERYTHING A WEAPON!!!!!

*You decide whether or not you have a translator that can understand the language(s) present
on the objects or whether they are undecipherable.
