LESSON 11

11.1 SKILL PRACTICE. Warm-up and Review. Practice these sentences in review.
The concert at the Luneta (LUN) Park is a success. Is your place near the park?
Can you complete the numbers in the course? The principal signs the contract. Compare
the numbers in the computer. Any number is right. Ask Peter hi car’s number.

11.2 New Letters Initial L and final L (-L)

Initial L is represented by letter combination HR. Write L by


depressing the crack between H and R with the left index finger.

Final L is written by the right ring finger in the home key position.

11.3 KEYBOARD PRACTICE


Write the words and sentences on the new letters. To effectively remember the new letters,
write first the word on the left followed by the corresponding sentence.

12.1 SKILL REVIEW

13.6 NEW KEYS: NUMBERS 4 AND 6

Notice the numerical bar extending across the top of


the keyboard. If the numerical bar and home key are
depressed, a number appears on the paper tape/screen.

Write number 4 by depressing the crack separating


home key H and numerical bar with the left index finger,
4 will appear on the paper tape/screen.

Write the number 6 by depressing the crack separating home key F and the numerical bar
with the right index finger and 6 will appear on the paper tape/screen.

13.7 KEYBOARD PRACTICE


When writing numbers, keep your fingers slightly curve and try to write the number with
the tip of yourfinger. Be sure to feel the crack and depress the numeral bar and home key with
confidence.

14.1 SKILL REVIEW: Warm-up and Review

Initial B is represented by letter combination PW. Write the B by pressing the crack
between P and W keys with the left middle finger.
Final B is reached by moving the middle right finger from its home position to the key
directly below.

Reach the BL by depressing PW and HR together with your left middle and index fingers.

15.1 SKILL REVIEW: Warm-up and Review

Practice the following sentences with stress on numbers. Remember that a word can
usually be read when a writer makes a stroking error but this is not true on numbers.

Number 46 is the lawyer’s place number. His address is number 44 and he is already 64.
The lawyer wrote 6 letters last Sunday.

Are you to stare at night sunlight? I bet you could not. See the bliss on Bessie’s eyes.
Bessie is to blow 6 candles on Saturday. See you.

15.2 NEW KEYS: Initial W and initial D

W is below the home key P. Write the W moving the left middle finger from P to the key
below it.
Initial D is represented by letter combination TK. Write D by pressing with the left ring
finger the crack between T and K.
