● Dandansoy is Originated from Visayas mainly located in Iloilo at


PanayIsland.
● Hilagainon dialect.
● This traditional Filipino folk song is played in 3/4 time signature.
● Is a popular Ilonggo Folk Song, sung even by non-Ilonggos.
● Dandansoy is one of the folk songs featured in a dance medley used in the
Bacolod MassKara Festival.
● The song has four stanzas of four lines each. Each line has eight (8) and nine
(9) syllables.
● No known writer and no known singer, but has been sung by famous singers
such as Nora Aunor and Pilita Corales.
