In an era where organizational dynamics are rapidly evolving, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging
(DEIB) have emerged as critical pillars in shaping human resource management and organizational excel-
lence. The integration of DEIB principles fosters a culture where each employee connects better to the or-
ganization, thus enhancing collaboration and engagement. This inclusivity is crucial for employees to con-
tribute effectively and feel psychologically safe within their work environment, leading to substantial or-
ganizational benefits.
Despite the acknowledged importance of DEIB, there is a noticeable gap in empirical research, particularly
concerning the long-term impact of these practices on business outcomes and organizational excellence.
Systematic and business-led DEIB initiatives are posited to influence a company’s financial performance
and sustainability, yet comprehensive, empirical studies in this area are limited.
This special issue seeks to bridge this gap by inviting unpublished, empirical research papers that explore
the multifaceted impact of DEIB practices within organizations. We are particularly interested in studies
that examine:
Sub-Topics:
DEIB and business performance: Evaluating how DEIB contributes to business performance
DEIB in employee engagement: Understanding the role of DEIB in fostering employee motivation and en-
gagement
DEIB and decision-making: Investigating how DEIB influences the quality of organizational decision-
making
DEIB and corporate reputation: Examining the relationship between DEIB practices and corporate reputa-
tion
DEIB in problem-solving: Exploring how DEIB enhances problem-solving efficiency and effectiveness
DEIB and organizational resilience: Analyzing the role of DEIB in building agile and resilient organisation
DEIB for organizational excellence: Investigating the overall contribution of DEIB to organizational excel-
lence
DEIB as competitive advantage: Exploring DEIB as a strategic tool for competitive advantage
DEIB as process innovation: Assessing DEIB's role in innovating business processes and innovation
Submissions should present original empirical research that offers new insights into DEIB practices and
their implications for organizational excellence. Submission should be grounded in robust theoretical
frameworks, with clear practical implications for business strategy and human resource management.
We welcome contributions that not only address these themes but also push the boundaries of our under-
standing of DEIB in contemporary organizational contexts.
