Title: Creating and Managing Vector Data: Adding vector layer, Setting properties, Vector Layer
Formatting.

Procedure:
1.Adding vector layers (Polygon, Line, Points)
a. Polygon layers (We have taken 3 layers Grass, House, Land, Water)
b. Line layers (We have taken 1 layer Road)
c. Point layers (We have taken 4 layers Lights, Centre Road, Airport, Hospital)

2.Setting properties (Labeling, Symbolism)

1) Creating Polygon Vector Layer

Step1: Select Project → New

Step2: Select Layer → Create Layer → New Shapefile Layer

Step3: Following dialog box will appear on the screen. Select Polygon option from Geometry type.
Step4: Fill the appropriate information in each text box.

Step5: Select the Polygon Feature (In our case it is Grass for background) from layer panel

Step6: Same way we can add one more polygon layer for Land, Water, House

 2) Creating Line Vector layer:
Step1: Repeat the same steps as we have done for polygon layer.
Select Geometry type Line

Step2: To plot road click on Add Line Feature.

Step3: Road will look as below

3) Create Point vector layer

 Step1: Repeat same steps to add point layers as we have done in previous layers (For
Lights, Hospital, Airport, Centre Road)

4) Calculating line lengths and statistics
