This energy model template has been developed to enable design teams to summarize model details and overall energy performance in order to demonstrate compliance
with the mandatory provisions of RE-R1 and optional requirements of RE-1 and RE-3 in the Pearl Villa Rating System.
This template must be populated by the Energy Modelling Specialist and verified by the Design Team MEP Engineer(s), having due consideration to the following:
* All input cells should be populated in all tabs aside from the Exceptional Method tab, which is only to be filled in if required.
* Summary 2: all model outputs should be input here, renewable and exceptional calculation methods should be input on the relevant tabs and will automatically be
deducted from the overall results.
* All other tabs should be fully populated as comprehensively as possible based upon the input data used in the energy model. Some cells have drop-down lists limiting
inputs based on the requirements, others require textual or numeric inputs. Some areas (such as Lighting) will have automatic calculations based on previously inputted
data. In these cases certain cells are deliberately locked to restrict user input.
Proposed Villa Annual Energy Consumption (kWh/m2) 0 RE-1: Improved Energy Performance
This summary provides a comparison of the relative performance of the Proposed Villa compared to the Baseline for the different energy end use types. Comparison for compliance purposes is made between the Baseline Villa Average performance and the Proposed Villa
performance inclusive of contributions from Renewables and Exceptional Methods. When the villa being modeled is assumed to represent other villas within the same development and having the same typology but different orientations, the worst case villa orientation
must be modeled as the proposed case.

Villa Energy Model Template
This section is intended for the Project Energy Modelling Narrative. This brief narrative should provide an overview of the project and outline how compliance with the credit
requirements is achieved. Content should include, but is not limited to, the following:
• A brief overview of the modelling process;
• Villa envelope systems & performance;
• HVAC performance;
• Justification for any significant energy savings associated with particular end-use categories in Summary 2;
• Details of any additional calculation methodologies noted in the Exceptional Method and Renewables tabs.
As well as highlighting targeted compliance within RE-1: Improved Energy Performance & RE-3: Renewable Energy Credits (where applicable).
In support of the narrative images from the thermal models of both the Proposed and Baseline thermal models should be provided.

The basline values are as per the prescriptive parameters of RE-R1. The U-value of each envelope element (e.g. wall, roof, window) must be
established as an area-weighted average calculation of all components present in the envelope element. To establish the overall wall U-value, all
types, thicknesses and areas of insulation must be accounted for in addition to any non-insulated areas that may be present such as structural areas,
mortar and joints. In the case of windows all glass and frame areas must be accounted for and where a centre pane U-value of 1.8W/m 2K is being used
as the compliance target, all frames must be thermally broken. Detailed U-value calculations for each envelope element must be demonstrated at
construction stage and supported by third party test certificates (e.g. test reports for insulation thermal conductivity for each type of insulation used)
and associated shop-drawings and tabulated areas associated with each component. For further clarification please contact the Estidama team.

Note: Unless otherwise specified performance of all system components is based upon ARI test conditions. For ease of comparison between Baseline and Proposed Model components all elements should quote ARI compatible performance in preference
to local conditions.
