Course objectives:
School of Business Management’s Internship Program is spread over the final semester
of MBA programme and is an integral part of the academic curriculum and its satisfactory
completion is a mandatory requirement for the award of the degree. Under the program,
the students are required to undertake an internship assignment within selected
companies for hands-on corporate experience and for integrating the knowledge and
skills acquired through the coursework. Request Letter/ Email will be provided from the
office which students can send to the industry. Students on joining Training at the
concerned Industry / Organization, must submit the Joining Report/ Letters / Email.
Training completion Certificate must be obtained from industry on successful completion.
Monthly attendance report duly signed and stamped by the industry must be submitted
to the Institute.
Proposal Formulation
During the 4th semester each student of MBA programme of CSJM University shall carry
out an intensive study of a topic in the particular area of research by collection of data.
The student should contact Industrial Supervisor and Faculty Supervisor for assigning
topics and problems and should prepare the final report on the assigned topics.
Synopsis of the topic of the selected project should be shared with the Faculty
Supervisor. The synopsis should clearly state the topic, objectives and research
methodology of the proposed project to be undertaken. Final report should be prepared
in consultation with the allotted Faculty Supervisor
i. Originality.
ii. Adequacy and purposeful write-up.
iii. Organization, format, drawings, sketches, style, language etc.
iv. Variety and relevance of learning experience.
v. Practical applications, relationships with basic theory and concepts taught in the
course.
The industry will evaluate the students based on the Punctuality, eagerness to learn, and
Maintenance of Daily record in addition to any remarks. Project report evaluation carrying
300 marks and viva- voce examination of 150 marks will be conducted by the examiners
appointed by the University. If the internship project is not found to be of high quality,
then the student may have to reappear for their MBA Project work.
The project report should take into account factual data which is relevant to the
situation.
The Project Work undertaken should be authentic and should contribute towards
the development and growth of the subject.
Methodology adopted for the study should be carefully scrutinized to avoid risk
of biased analysis.
The cover page on the bound copy of the report should indicate:
• The title of the report in capital letters.
• The name of the student, class and section, and Roll number.
• Name and designation of the faculty member who has guided you.
• Name and designation of the person of the organisation who has guided
you.
• Name of the School and University.
