Established 2010

 The board is a statutory body established in 2010. It is located on west


Agargaon, Sher e Bangla Administrative area. It is responsible for the
promotion of tourism in Bangladesh. It is under the ministry of civil
aviation and tourism of Bangladesh.

 Mr. Mokammel Hossain is the current chairman of Bangladesh tourism


board .

 Abu Taher Mahammad Zaber is the chief executive officer of Bangladesh


tourism board.
Primary objects of Bangladesh tourism board

 Formulating policy for tourism development , providing recommendations and


assisting in the implementation of existing tourism related policies.
 Providing advice or guidance to those concerned in the implementation of plans
adopted for the overall development of tourism industry.
 Identification, conservation, development ,development and awareness of tourist
activities.
 conducting and providing cooperation in establishing contacts between
Bangladesh tourism organization and foreign organization.
 Ensuring facilities for participation for tourist with disabilities.
 Preserving women's right and practice in the tourism industry.
 Research, monitoring and analyzing the international market to take appropriate
measure for the tourism industry.
 Providing necessary guidance to assist the industry related to tourism.
 Providing guideline in organizing and promoting all fairs or publishing activities
related to tourism.
Bangladesh parjatan corporation

 Bangladesh Tourism Corporation is an autonomous


organization working for the development of tourism
industry in Bangladesh. The organization is operated under
the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, Government of
the People's Republic of Bangladesh. It is known as the
national tourism organization of Bangladesh and it
contributes significantly to the national economy.
 Bangladesh Tourism Corporation (BAPAC) is a National
Tourism Organization (NTO). The institution was founded
in 1972 by His Excellency the President was established vide
Order No. and commenced its operations in 1973. It is civil
aviation and tourism An autonomous body under the
Ministry.
 The Board of Directors consists of a Chairman and three
directors. Chairman Board President, Directors
 The members of the Board and the General Manager
(Administration) perform the secretarial duties of the Board.
Departments of the head office namely:
 Department of Administration; Commercial Department;
Planning,Training & Statistics Department, Marketing
Department, Public Relations Department.
Aims and objects of Bangladesh parjatan corporation

 Develop BAPAC as an advanced competent authority that will regulate/facilitate the


promotion of tourism industry in Bangladesh;
 To develop and maintain international quality tourism and other facilities;
 Engaging governments and encouraging private sector initiatives in building physical
infrastructure such as roads, railways, airways and waterways for ease of travel.
 . Ensuring the safety of tourists.
 Initiatives to facilitate visa and immigration procedures for tourists.
 Encouraging poverty-friendly tourism through effective community participation;
 Engaging the women community for financial solvency and empowerment;
 To promote nature and anthropological based eco-tourism.
 Refinement, creation of new jobs, poverty alleviation and social welfare
enhancement through tourism activities.
 Increasing the marketing of tourism elements at home and abroad.
 To develop human resources in the tourism industry.
 Building strong public-private partnerships in the tourism industry.
