B
Bigbang theory
It says the universe started with an in6nitely hot and dense single point that in9ated and stretched.

Bosons big bang theory - it is the widely accepted theory of the creation of the universe where
it started with an infinitely hot and dense single point that inflated and stretched into a
Force-carrying particles (e.g. photons) vast space.
(nuclear force)
standardCmodel - it is an accepted theory however it comprises an incomplete
description of the building blocks of matter and rules of their interactions.
Classical science
It emphasizes that the physical world consists only of visible things and does not employ models to explain what reality is really
like. Therefore, it excludes the presence of objects that the observer cannot directly perceive, such as subatomic particles like
electrons and photons.

Composite particles (made of smaller particles)

Examples are protons, neutrons, and atoms.

Consistency
A good model should be consistent with existing scienti6c theories and observations, such as the laws of physics or the behavior of
subatomic particles. This requires incorporating known scienti6c principles into the model and testing its predictions against real-
world data.

Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation

It is observed to permeate space in all directions. It is also considered as the remnants of Bigbang.

Cosmic calendar
It is an imaginary expression of all the known cosmic, geologic, and human events from the Bigbang until the present into a single
Earth year wherein certain events are relatively dated and timed.

D
Democritus
He proposed that all matter is composed of atoms.

E
Elegant
An element of a good model which avoids unnecessary complexity and focuses on the most fundamental principles.

Elementary particles
They cannot be divided into sub-structure and are considered to be building blocks.

Experiment
It is the 6nal arbiter in science.
:
H
Hubble theory
a foundational idea in modern cosmology that states that the universe is expanding.

Model dependent realism Data retention summary

Get the mobile app
It makes use of models or representations of objects to de6ne the physical properties and explain interactions with other objects.

Modern science
Uses the model-dependent realism to de6ne the physical world.

P
Physical world
the inanimate objects in the universe from the submicroscopic to cosmological.

Predictive
A good model should be able to make predictions about the behavior of the system being modeled, and these predictions should be
testable and veri6able.

Q
Quarks
The building blocks of matter. Examples are up, down, and charm.

R
Realism
The existence of physical world is based from what is seen by the observer.

Redshift
the wavelength of the light is stretched, so it shifted towards the red end of the spectrum.

S
Simplicity
A good model should contain few elements.

Spatial scale
The physical components are studied based on their relative size

Standard model
It is a theoretical framework used to describe the behavior of elementary particles and their interactions. Also, it is one of the most
well-established theories in modern physics, and it has been extensively tested through experiments over the past several decades.

T
Technology
It is the contribution of science to society. Examples are television, cellphones, computers, etc.

Temporal scale
:
It presents the chronological order of the formation of components of the physical world.
