To begin with, I want to pay attention to the plot itself, which is arranged in a chronological way

and has instructive narrative composition that suggests from what childhood lived character life

Guatemala through difficulties and triumphs because America. This point makes this narrative

easy and interesting to read. Therefore, such a method of depicting the story can be rather helpful

to my writing as it determines time correctly and is sufficient for an audience how these

occurrences made our protagonist alter his life. I would definitely memorize this aspect for my

future writings.

This narrative also relies on the use of personal anecdotes. Not only do these stories paint a vivid

picture of the protagonist’s journey, but they allow readers to feel connected with him. Which is

really good, because sometimes you do not have that in writings. Instilling such personal

anecdotes can add more emotional depth and relatability to the story, which makes it much more

interesting for the audience.

Secondly, the tone is established from the beginning since an introduction and conclusion in a

narration can end the story. The introduction begins with a preface that engrosses the reader, and

a conclusion outline of consequences presents the protagonist’s enduring trail. One can

understand from this clever application of the introduction and conclusion how to proceed with

my stories, as a story begins wonderfully great while another ends with wisdom.

Lastly, the use of MLA style in formatting and citation within this narrative highlights adhering

to appropriate standards while writing as a necessity. This is particularly relevant to my academic

performance since following such standards in this respect is of key importance.

In conclusion, some of the narrative techniques and structure used in “Carrying the Weight of a

Nation'' allow for deep insights into good storytelling. I truly enjoyed this narrative, and found

some new ideas and aspects for my upcoming writings in my ENC class.
