1. To be used with taps at middle of 110 kV Delta.
2. For 500 Amps, only up to 12 position (linear) and 23 positions (pre selector) is possible, for 110 kV Delta
only linear model is avilable.
3. For 110 kV Delta Transformer the tapping must be at middle of the winding.
4. On special request: Special versions are avilable on demand for tap changer with more than 35 steps.
OLTC/OCTC for alternate oil application is also available.
5. For 66 kV Delta Transformer the tapping must be at middle of the winding.

technology. This model is in successful service since 1975 catering to normal network applications
and to demanding heavy duty furnace applications.

• Current rating up to 500 Amps with 3-pole & up to 1500 Amps with 1 pole.

• Special design is available for 300 Amps.

• Voltage class up to 220 kV Class.

• Both star and delta applications are available.

• Maximum step voltage up to 2500 Volts.

• Separate diverter and selector model.

MOTOR DRIVE UNIT
UNCOMPROMISING QUALITY
BUILT-IN WITH INTELLIGENT FEATURES
The motor drive serves to drive the tap changer to the selected operating position. The motor drive housing
contains all mechanical and electrical parts necessary for operating the tap changer. The control follows the
step-by-step principle, i.e. for operating the tap changer from one service position to the next one the motor
drive operation is initiated by a single control pulse and accomplished without any possible interruption.
Overrunning the end positions is prevented by electrical and mechanical limits. Further safety and monitoring
equipment facilitates the service.
There are Four models are available, namely MA-2 MA-7 MA-9 & AMD. All Motor Drives are fully meet the
requirements of IEC 60214. The Drive Mechanism is built with a specialized series of Gears/Belt drive to arrive
at smoother operation. The uniform mounting and drive geometry significantly enhances fitment. The housing
is made of corrosion-resistant, cast aluminum – perfect for any environment. A wide variety of special measures
allows the Drive Mechanism to handle even the most extreme operating conditions. Our Mechanism is tested for
IP-55, IP56 Protection. Special Housing are available for IP- 66 also. The Motor Drive is built with all necessary
safety features. We can provide any suitable electrical features in our Motor Drive as demanded by your system.
In case you are looking for an on-site solution with integrated electronics for direct regulation and monitoring of
on-load tap-changers and transformers, we can also integrate in our Drive.
