Colour Script.

Due March 26

Colour plays a huge part in film making and is a vital part of the process. For this assignment you will
create a mock colour script for your film.

Assume that you have resources to be painting and dyeing props, sets and costumes for your film,
choose an ideal colour scheme and write a sentence or two about why you’ve chosen these colours.

Do not feel the need to hit every costume, set and prop, cover the major elements of your story. Groups
of characters and locations can be handled together.

A MAXIMUM of five examples, focus on the principle areas of your film.

As an example:

Colour scheme for the bedroom – dull and muted. Colours will be muted and worn

to show age and lack of care.

Colour scheme for Joe’s costume – Over the top and artificial.

He’s trying WAY too hard to prove that he’s chipper. He’s also stuck in the 80s.

Marking scheme:

Aesthetic effect /40

Emotional effect /40

Professionalism /20
