Procurement Manager

Activities and Responsibilities

The Procurement Manager will be responsible for sourcing materials and services for the company,
managing inventory levels, vendor relationships and negotiating contracts.
This role will also collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure the timely delivery of goods and
services while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
The resource leads and supervises the execution of all procurement activities within the operations
procurement, including pre-qualification, scope clarification, RFQ preparation and execution and
award.
The resource oversees the tasks assigned to the team members (1 senior and 1 junior buyer)
organizing their workload.
Ensures close collaboration with HQ Legal, Finance, PM Team and different stakeholders and
proponents.
Key success factors include speed to market, compliance and organization to ensure alignment of
objectives and priorities.
The resource is expected to contribute to the growth of the organization capabilities and be part of
the broader Procurement leadership team and to support improvement of processes and
procedures.

The Procurement Manager will be responsible for the following activities:


- Development and/or deployment of the procurement strategies;
- Creation and management of short-, mid-, and long-term goals and objectives for themselves and
the team;
- Creation and improvement of best-practice based processes (e.g., leadership of
high-value/strategic sourcing efforts);
- Identification and realization of cost-saving and cost-reduction opportunities; - Optimization and
management of procurement systems and solutions;
- Manage suppliers and clients and contract negotiations and manage pre and post award activities;
- Managing the skills and competency development of procurement staff, including training
development and knowledge management capabilities;
- Leadership of cross-functional teaming across other business functions and initiatives;
- Development of benchmarks to be used for continuous improvement;
- Successfully conduct negotiations meeting the target requirements.
