For functional purposes and applications, tilting table BRF must be incorporated
into a complete analogical and/or digital radio-fluorography system and
therefore must provide fitting for an X-ray generator tube assembly, an image
(intensifier with relative TV system and connection to an high voltage
generator) and to a digital image acquisition system where necessary.
In the “two-tubes” versions, the tilting table must also be combined with a
support hanging from the ceiling with relative X-ray generator and X-ray
collimator, where necessary, associated with additional imaging equipment.
In particular, for what regards the X-ray tube assembly (fitted below the table)
and the image intensifier (fitted on top of the automatic SFD), all those
produced by leading manufacturers with application features appropriate for the
foreseen tests can be used, in observance of the above specifications and of the
following mechanical compatibility (see Chapter “III – Technical and
functional feature, dimensions encumbrances and weights”).
The BRF unit can be combined with devices that may or may not be
manufactured by BMI BIOMEDICAL INTERNATIONAL itself. In case of
combination with a device not manufactured by BMI BIOMEDICAL
INTERNATIONAL, it is mandatory to contact BMI BIOMEDICAL INTERNATIONAL
itself to check compatibility with BRF. In any case, all devices used in
combination with BRF must be CE marked and conform to international
rules and laws for safety.
Warning
In the eventual combination of BMI BIOMEDICAL INTERNATIONAL SRL devices
with other manufacturer devices (main elements and accessories), please check
compatibility through these pages: where no mention of clear compatibility is
declared in this manual the user is required to check the conformity to the
mentioned norms and regulations and the eventual presence of non predictable
risks due to lack of compatibility between the devices.

The hand-grips protect the patients’ hands preventing them from being struck
by objects during table sliding movement. Handgrips avoid that patient hands
hang loose from the sides of the table, give also a sense of security to the
patient and help them to stay still during the examination.
In the Trendelenburg position, they act as a support.
To fix handgrips to the table top metal profiles, hooking in and then blocking
them rotating relative knob.

effect and purposes.
VIII.6 – Lateral cassette support
This support accepts cassettes from size 24x30 cm to 35x35 cm; it is helpful
when the examination on progress requires latero-lateral projections of certain
anatomical parts. The use of this device made easier to perform this
examination without force the patient to uncomfortable positions

(B)- Lateral view of cassette support.
In Pic.8-3 (A) and (B) some mounting part detail of the lateral cassette support
are displayed to show the installation on the aluminium support, by mean of the
proper guides.
Installation procedure:
1. Unlock the blocking knob counter clockwise
2. Insert the cassette holder along the aluminium profile
3. Adjust the position in reason of imaging area
4. stabilize the position by locking the blocking knob clockwise
The specific configuration of this support allows the use of X-ray cassettes with
size 24x30 cm to 35x35 cm in both directions.
For a more practical use and a better imaging result it is suggested to employ
cassette incorporating the X-ray grid.
The leg supports are used mainly in examinations of the urological and genital
organs.
They must be fitted to the metal profiles of the table top by hooking and then
blocking them as shown in detail in Pic. 8-4.

blocked in position by rotating the knob 1.
The leg support can also be adjusted in height to adapt to the size of the
patient, by loosening the knobs 2 and 3, and then blocking them again once the
desired height has been reached.
With the patient lying on the tabletop in a horizontal position, hook the leg
supports to the profiles, sliding them along to the relative part of the body.
Make sure that they are firmly attached to the profiles before positioning the
patient’s legs, and adjust the height if necessary.

A. Cables wiring starts from tube; Cables must have the right length to permit
the correct movement of the tube support. Cables get into the given
“slide” and are fixed on by the given angled metal support.
B. Cables goes round behind column support bearing and are fixed with the
given metal support (it is necessary to remove and fix again the bearing
support: be careful to the washers used as spacers)
C. Cables pass under the column and exit through the apposite hole at the
lateral end of the column
D. Cables are fixed by the apposite angle metal support and exit toward floor
at the down end of the column
For this operation the table may be kept in the vertical position, or inclined
slightly in order to proceed in the most comfortable position.

Daily readability of all labels and indications placed on the
structures.
In following table are listed all recommended operations for periodically ordinary
maintenance:
Frequency Operations
1) Unlock the tabletop brake and move it: check the smoothness and the
noisiness. If necessary, remove the tabletop and clean the guides where
run the bearings and the bearings themselves;
2) With the tabletop braked, pull it and with a dynamometer check that the
braking power is around 14-18kg.
All BRF units are identifiable by a label positioned as per IMAGE BELOW
Every unit could be shipped dismantled in 2 pieces (base and tabletop) in the
same package, every component is labelled with S/N placed on:
• Package
• Single part
This care avoids exchanging the single components with ones from other table
of the same model.
The symbol with the crossed garbage bin indicate that the product, at the end of
its shelf life must be collected in separated way from the other garbage.
The separate collection of this device must be arranged and managed and by
