Centrifuge

• Basic components
– Rotating assembly
– Lubrication
– Sensors

The purpose of this training is to collect as much as information while in

front of the machine to have a better visual and hands on practice.
Is suggested to take picture of each component and write a small
description regarding maintenance, troubleshooting and operation.
In the next slide an example:

Power up

Before Starting the System

1. Have in place permit to work
2. Review all safety requirements, start-up, shutdown and isolation procedures
3. Check that the machine has been installed correctly and that it has not been damaged
4. Make certain that the shipping blocks have been removed
5. Make sure that there are no foreign objects or solids build up on or near any of the rotating components
6. Check that the moving parts rotate freely, motors sheaves must run freely when rotated by hand
7. Ensure that the centrifuge is properly lubricated
8. Check that all guards are in place and securely fastened
