Article Review Format

Choose a journal article in the area of Counseling Psychology or Clinical

Psychology and conduct an article review by focusing the following points.

Your article review should consist of the following aspects.

 Identification of the article: Write the following identification information

 Author(s):

 Title:

 Journal:

 Year of publication:

 Body of the article review: Write four paragraphs of results of your review. The
paragraphs should include elements as described below

 Paragraph One:
 Summary of the issue or problem discussed in the article.

 Readership of the article (whom the article is written to)

 Critic about the gap the study strives to fill.

 Paragraphs Two-Three:
 The research questions raised or hypotheses proposed. If the article does not
have any research question or hypothesis develop research questions consistent
to the purpose of the article.
 Description of the sampling technique used and your argument for its
appropriateness or inappropriateness to the study.
 Summary of the results obtained

 Final Paragraph: Personal response to article: How it applies to course

 Your reflection on strength of the article
 Criticisms/Questions
Important Notes:
 Do not exceed three pages; often two are sufficient.
 The review Should be typed with 12 font size times new roman(arial), 1.5 line spacing
 Use formal English writing techniques.
 Submit report of your review as well as the article you have reviewed on 21 December
