1(a) Determine the domain D of the mapping f:x 2x – 3, if C = {-3, -1, 5} is the range and
f is defined on D.
(b) Find the first four terms of the sequence whose general is given by: 7 × 3n.
2(a) The 4th term of an arithmetic is 15 and the 9th term is 35. Find the 15th term.
(b) The 3rd term of a geometrical progression is 63 and the fifth term is 567.
Find the sum of the first six terms of the progression.
4(a) A ladder of 50m leans against a wall and makes an angle of 60⁰ with the wall.
How high up is the ladder on the wall? ( Leave your answer in surd form)
