Abstract
Every people in this world are connected with others through
internet with help of many kinds of communication devices, such
as, smart mobile phones, tablets, PC and laptop etc. Day by day
people like to use weightless and compact devices for
communication purpose. In this paper introducing Virtual Smart
Phones with tiny projector, speaker, mike, camera and cloud
computing technology. The user can communicate through voice
calling and transferring data from one device to another device via
internet. This Tiny Virtual Smart Phone is operated based on multi
touch and gesture based interactions. The integration of many
computer vision methods of Augmented Reality techniques are used
to control the digital world with Virtual Smart Phone.

1. INTRODUCTION:

International Journal of Pure and Applied Mathematics Special Issue

In recent years of sensing and display technologies has the development of so

many variety of multitouch and gesture based interactivesystem. In these
systems users can directly interact with information using touch add natural
hand gestures. The most general natural hand gestures & multi touch based
interactive system/mobile usually uses projectors, or dedicated surfaces and
information still remains on screen. In this paper we replace the mobile phone
device with the virtual multi touch & natural gesture based interaction on the
user’s palm through which the other user. We can communicate with other
digital device through network. VSP invention is related for establishing
communication and to transfer data between one human body to other human
body or from one human body to digital devices or vice versa without dependency
of any platform. This is working based on by touch gesture on the human hand
or palm. Virtual Smart Phone has two type of data transfer. First, It invoke voice
communication using GSM Technology and without carrying mobile phone.
Second, with the help of internet/intranet or data service from mobile data, Data
can be shared from one human to another human or digital device. Palm
recognition is used for palm lines or fingerprint detection.

2. LITRATURE SURVEY:
According to Chris Harrison,Hrvoje Benko and Andrew D Wilson[2], the
omnitouch wearable system uses graphical, multitouch interactive input on every
surface. The Pico projector is wearable on shoulder and it project on user’s
hand, arm or leg as a graphical user interface and without any calibration. The
projection distance is limited and system is sensitive to approach in angle of
fingers. Human hand gestures are not included in this system(Omnitouch:
Wearable System). And it assumes that, the user uses right hand to operate on
projected layer.

According to AE Manjunath and Vijayakumar P[5], that various computer
vision based algorithms are used for interaction. By the use of single camera
human can interact with the system without any additional hardware device. To
simplify the interaction the algorithm should be adaptable to recognize the
specific property like color, pattern, texture or intensity or relationship among the
pixels.[1]The various hand gesture and posture recognition algorithms are such
as template matching, feature extraction analysis, active shape model, principal
component analysis, Linear finger Models and Casual Analysis. In the template
matching technique, the first step is to create template from the collection of
datavalue of various different posture as a set. In the second step matching
current recorded sensor posture with the template. The feature extraction
analysis is the robustway and produce 97% accuracy. Forlocating and extracting
feature from the still image, contour manipulation is done in Active Shape
Model. In Principal Component Analysis eigenvectors and eigenvalues are
computed to get transformed original data set.(Scaling, Orientation & Position).
The Linear Fingertip model gives 90% of accuracy, by calculating trajectory of
fingertip motion. In casual analysis gesture filters are used to improve intraction
with human casual knowledge such as wrist acceleration, wrist joint movement.
The Augmented reality based mobile application uses Waterfall Model
Development method. This is stage by stage of systematic sequence approach.
The stages are design, coding, testing / verification and maintenance[6].By
wearing proximity sensors over network uses Hidden Markov Model for
identifying body posture. By using Radio Signal Strength effectively can identify
different body motions, such as walking, running, sitting & standing postures
and compared with naïve threshold based technique[8].In this paper, our
proposed system uses particle filtering algorithm to improve human interaction.

3. PROPOSED SYSTEM
The particle filtering algorithm is used for detecting and tracking hand postures.
Skin color is included for getting better performance. Gesture recognition based
Virtual Smart Phone keypad is displayed on hand using Augmented Reality.
Through these features user can interact with the projected Graphical User
Interface layer by hand gestures. By simply touching on the hand where the icon
projected location, the algorithm helps detecting & tracking of hand gesture or
finger gestures. So that, the system will interact with human without verbal
communication.
Particle filtering Algorithm:
Algorithm
1. particle_filter( St-1, ut-1 zt):
2. St=Ø, ŋ=0
3. For i=1,…n Generate new samples
4. Sample index j(i) from the discrete distribution given by wt-1
5. Sample xti from p(x t/xt-1,ut-1) using x t-1j(i) and ut-1
6. Wt =p(zt/xt )
i i

7. Compute importance weight

8. ŋ =ŋ+wt i
9. Update normalization factor
10. St=StU{<xti,wti>} Insert
11. For i=1,…n
12. Wti=wti/ ŋ
Normalize weights
The algorithm takes n number of weighted samples as input and produces
random samples, where the probability of drawing x i is given by wi. (likelihood of
the observation).

4. COMPONENTS:
Virtual Smart Phone is acombination of both hardware and software. The
hardware unit consist of one battery for power supply, Micro Vibrator Motor for
vibration indicator, LED Indicator for Device Mode, 16 Proximity sensor for
identifying touch layer on Arm, One Processor unit, one micro USB port for
connecting external charger or head phone, four micro projectors, one HD
camera, one Nano SIM card slot, four touch buttons (one for ON/OFF Button, one
Snap Button, one Sound Up button, and one Sound down button), RAM & ROM

5. WORKING
Working of Virtual Smart Phone consist of following steps
1.Enabling and Authenticating
2.Making Call
3.Receiving Call
4.Image Capturing and video capturing
5.Copying Data and Paste or Sends Data through network to another VSP or
Digital Device.
A.Enabling VSP
The device has ON (Enable)/OFF (Disable) key in the power button. While the
user enable the VSP device, there is an icon appear on the user’s palm / arm. If
the user using this device at the first time, there will be some authentication
methods used. For registering the device with user’s name and password,
drawing secret sign or pattern, palm line detection, fingerprint detection, face
detection and picture detection methods are used. Once user registered and login
successfully, then the device is ready for all the operations.
B.Make Call
After enabling VSP, for make calling user can dial mobile number on virtual key
or using voice recognition system. Two methods are used for making call and
communicating between two users.
a.Make Call using SIM:
Virtual Smart Phone has a mirco SIM slot or module. By which the device enable
the call using GSM (Global System for Mobile Communication) or CDMA (Code
Division Multiple Access) Technology.
b.Make Call using VOIP:

The another technique for making call is based on Voice Over Internet
Protocol(VOIP). VSP device has Mobile Data option and Wi-Fi enabled option, by
which connect the device with the other VSP through Internet / Intranet. Like
Whatsapp Call in Smart Phones. If both the user are connected with internet,
then this VOIP method is applicable. Otherwise device will use SIM for calling
without user’s permission.

C.Receive Call
If the user made call from one VSP to another VSP or Digital device the
notification of incoming call will be shown to the user at receiver side in their
physical mobile device or PC or PDA. If the user in VSP at receiver side selected
vibrant mode for notification, there will be a small vibrant motor will turn the
user

6. CONCLUSION AND FUTURE SCOPE:

Physical world is connected with Virtual world with the advanced
augmented reality, gesture recognition and computer-vision based algorithms. So
the user can send data to another digital devices through virtual smart phone by
the use of bluetooth,WiFi and GPS connectivity. There is no need of physical
dependencies of mobile phone. In future, this Virtual Smart Phone will be used
for education and training system, Health monitoring systems, News and
Weather cast updates, and shares data with different digital devices virtually.
