Abstract:
Wireless power transmission offers remarkable capabilities, spanning vast distances with
efficiency and delivering substantial power. Wireless power transmission is essential for
transferring electrical energy from a source to a load without wires, ideal for situations where
wired connections are impractical or unsafe.
Antenna has become the most vital element in any RF system due to its capability as a radio
wave transceiver. Antennas play a crucial role in radio frequency (RF) systems by facilitating
efficient energy transfer. This project uses the microstrip patch antenna. Microstrip patch
antennas have the advantage due to their simple planar structure so they can be easily
fabricated using printed circuit board technology.
This project introduces a 3×3 square patch antenna array with circular polarization and slots
for wireless power transmission at 2.45 GHz, simulated using CST microwave software.
Through simulations conducted using CST software, we analyse various parameters
including reflection coefficients, gains, and radiation patterns of the proposed antenna design.
