Little of the earthquake was predicted due to earthquakes in general being very hard to predict.
Turkey and Syria did little to mitigate the damage and the Turkish government constantly lets builders not follow the earthquake guiding
codes to build buildings. They also don’t have warning sirens such as Japan and USA which caused more deaths.
