AOS 1 (Performance) – SAC 1, Part 1

You will be performing your solo / small group item at the mini-recital on Tuesday 23rd April. This is an opportunity for
you to try out your song and get experience in presenting to others. Please note:

 As outlined in the task notification, you do not need to present the entire song. If there are sections or
instruments missing, you only need to play the part that you know at the moment.
 Using a backing track is fine for this performance.
 We will be assessing you on your presentation and your preparation, not on whether it is a final performance
or not, so please ensure that:
o You do your sound checks / tuning up before you introduce yourself and your song;
o You introduce yourself and your song in a calm and confident manner;
o You listen to all other performances respectfully.

Below, you need to answer the following questions related to your performance at the recital:

What is the song you are performing and what is the instrument you are playing?

Ballroom Blitz played on Piano and Vocal accompaniment

Describe the aspects of your performance that are currently unfinished – e.g. you are leaving out one of the solos,
you are only playing up to the second chorus, you haven’t rehearsed it with your bass player yet so you’ll be adding
the bass part later.

Leaving out speaking parts of the song as the music, has not been modified for playing at this current stage.

What do you intend to work on when you continue practising this song this term? Remember, you will be
performing it again towards the end of the term.

I will continue on working on the speaking parts which will help link the whole song together. Then at the end of the
term, those parts should be able to be performed.

What do you need help with for preparing your song?

Other than usual check ins, I will continue to problem solve any issues I may come across whilst practicing.

Is there anything else you need us to know about your performance?
