Introduction

In the time of fast development of the modern technologies, the points about vehicle-
to-vehicle communication and flexible antennas become the converging points for
very dynamic area of wireless communication. Study of the interactions of 5G
antennas initial research covers the dynamic features of the matter which
investigates their integration.

Limited only to the perfect communication outcomes lead to innovations that do not
conform to standards, enter a delay. Five G technology is as certain as the sun at its
morning rise, and it will determine how we live; this paper explains that flexible
antennas will serve as a cherry on the top when it ends the vehicle-to- vehicle
communications.

Adaptive and reconfigurable antennas is something which is a known strategy in the

designing of communication system now days. The main aim of this study is to
emphasize of these technologies potential implementations in automotive
applications on heterogeneous communication networks, i.e., wireless connectivity,
higher information raising abilities and smart transportation systems development.

The ever-changing need for the high data rates, low latency and enhanced
connectivity is pushing forward the developments in the wireless communication
technologies. Recently, with the development of the 5th generation (5G) wireless
networks, the changes are also seen in the concept of the communication systems as
the speed and reliability are incomparable. While the development of 5G has resulted
in a requirement for specialized antennas which are capable of processing signals
using multiple frequency bands helping different applications. An illustration of such
paramount importance is a Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) communication contributing
remarkably to the improvement of transport security and effectiveness.

5G New Radio (NR) standard defines several bands used for particular purposes.
The bands dedicated to V2V communication are 78, 77, 73, and 74. To solve the
multiple distinct issues arising from V2V communication traditional antenna design
must be improved into the most suitable use of stronger and flexible antenna. In this
context, the slot antennas are very popular owing to the capability to provide slender
form factors and wide bandwidth. Furthermore, introducing fractal geometries in the
antenna design aggravates complexity of the design and in most cases, performance
improvement is negligible.
Objective of the project is to develop and investigate a slotted fractal antenna with
operations in 5G NR bands 78, 77, 73, and 74 for V2V radio communications. The
merger of slots structures and fractal features will provide the expected broadband,
high radiation efficiency and convenient in terms of size thus, the antenna is suitable
for complex and sophisticated V2V communications.
