1. A wholesaler buys a machine from a manufacturer for ₹ 25,000. He makes the price of the
machine 20% above his cost price and sells it to a retailer at 10% discount on the marked
price. If the rate of GST is 18% and assuming all transactions occur within the same state.
Calculate:
i) The marked price of the machine.
ii) Retailer cost price inclusive of GST
iii) The CGST and SGST payable by the wholesaler to the government. [3]
2. Salman deposits ₹ 1200 every month in a recurring deposit account for 2 ½ years. If the
rate of interest is 6% per annum, find the amount he will receive on maturity. [4]
3. Shares of Company A, paying 12%, ₹ 100 shares at ₹ 80; Shares of company B, paying
12%, ₹ 100 shares at ₹ 100; Shares of company C, paying 12%, ₹ 100 shares are at ₹ 120.
Find shares of which company are at premium?
4. Solve the following inequation and write the solution set. Also represent it on the number

5. Solve the following quadratic equation, 𝑥 2 − 3𝑥 − 9 = 0. Give your answer correct to

23. Find the number of solid spheres each of diameter 6 cm that can be made by melting a

24. Use graph sheet for this question. Draw a histogram for the daily earnings of 54 medical
stores in the following table and hence estimate the mode for the following distribution. Take
2 cm = ₹ 500 along the x – axis and 2 cm = 5 stores along the y – axis.

25. A (2, 5), B (-1, 2) and C (5,8) are the vertices of ∆ 𝐴𝐵𝐶, M is a point on AB such that
AM: MB = 1: 2. Find the coordinates of M. Hence, find the equation of the line passing
through the points C and M.

28. A cone and a sphere having the same radius are melted and recast into a cylinder. The
