Introduc)on
Educa'onal innova'on focuses on four aspects: people, knowledge, technology and
methodology; and represents a significant change to improve the teaching-learning process.

In this academic work we will be looking at some characteris'cs of the innova'on of

educa'onal didac'cs.

The use of new technologies on a daily basis, both on a personal and professional level—
including in the educa'onal field—has led many to consider that innova'ng in educa'on is
synonymous with using technological tools, which is true but not the only thing since
Educa'onal innova'on must be seen in a broader sense.

DEVELOPMENT
Didac/c characteris/cs of educa/onal innova/on
Over the years, the teaching-learning process, schools and methodologies have been
driven to search for new ways of working to transmit knowledge, as well as the
internaliza'on of skills and abili'es in the different educa'onal stages. . Tradi'onal teaching
is being relegated to the background in favor of a greater role for new methods and tools.
This, added to research on learning processes, gives rise to what is known as educa'onal
innova'on, which adapts to the 'mes and necessary changes in educa'on.

The use of new technologies on a daily basis, both on a personal and professional level—
including in the educa'onal field—has led many to consider that innova'ng in educa'on is
synonymous with using technological tools, which is true but not the only thing since
Educa'onal innova'on must be seen in a broader sense.
Innova'ng, following the defini'on given by the dic'onary of the Royal Spanish Academy
(RAE), means “changing or altering something, introducing new things”, which from the
educa'onal field means using different tools, materials, technology, methodologies and all
in the classrooms. those aspects included within the educa'onal processes. Therefore,
educa'onal innova'on involves making a significant change to improve the teaching-
learning procedure. Its importance lies in the fact that it produces changes that lead to
improvements in the training of students from different spaces.

Educa'onal innova'on focuses on four aspects:

• People
• Knowledge
• technology and methodology; and represents a significant change to improve the
teaching-learning process.

Applica/on of educa/onal innova/on in the classroom

For teachers to make changes that give rise to educa'onal innova'on, it is necessary,
first of all, to carry out a series of steps:
• Know the situa'on of the center
The star'ng point is to know the resources and means available at both the center and
classroom level, as well as being clear about the characteris'cs and needs of the students
with whom you want to work.

• Set a goal
Once the situa'on has been analyzed, it is 'me to define what you want to achieve.

• How to get it?

Establish the necessary steps and the characteris'cs of the process to achieve the stated
objec've.

• Start up
To do this, the collabora'on of all those involved in the process and prior planning is
necessary.

• Results
Once the process has been implemented, it is important to analyze it to check if the stated
objec've or objec'ves have been achieved or if modifica'ons need to be made.

Tools designed for teaching a second language.

Technology has revolu'onized all aspects of modern life and the teaching of English is
no excep'on; especially today, given the rise of virtual learning environments, the
abundance of online resources for teaching, and the growing importance of English as the
main foreign language.

Without a doubt, the use of technological tools in teaching English provides great
benefits. Mainly, it will allow you:

Thanks to hundreds of repositories of free ac'vi'es ready to be developed by students
and designed to obtain an automa'c and immediate grade or feedback.
• Maximize the impact of tradi/onal teaching methodologies
By combining them with technological tools, in order to facilitate the integra'on of the
language into the daily lives of students.
