 Key points:
 Ramlah was the daughter of Abu Sufyan, a great non-Muslim leader who later
converted to Islam. She was married to Obaidullah Ibn Jahsh, who himself had
converted to Islam.
When torture was intense, they migrated to Abyssinia with their daughter Habiba. The
non-Muslims of Makkah sent their people to Negus, who refused to return the Muslims to
the people of Makkah.

 Thought of the day:


We should always choose Allah’s choice over our own. Ramla (r.a) gave up her husband
for Allah because she did not want to be a Christian and Allah blessed her with the best
of creations. We should believe that if we take decision for Allah and let something go
for Him. He will replace it with something better

Islamic Integration: O Prophet, say to whoever is in your hands of the captives, "If Allah knows [any]
good in your hearts, He will give you [something] better than what was taken from you, and He will
forgive you; and Allah is Forgiving and Merciful."

 When she rejected the option of converting to Christianity and divorced her
husband, Allah blessed her with a surprise. She saw a dream which indicated her
marriage to Rasool Allah ‫ﷺ‬.
 Within a couple of days, she was married to him in the palace of the Negus. While
he ‫ ﷺ‬was in Makkah.

Islamic Integration: And [remember, O Muhammad], when those who disbelieved plotted against you
to restrain you or kill you or evict you [from Makkah]. But they plan, and Allah plans. And Allah is the

 Key points:
 She was the paternal aunt of the prophet ‫ ﷺ‬and also the daughter of Hala bint
Wahab who was the sister of the mother of the prophet ‫ﷺ‬. Saffiyah was
married twice, again in well-known families.
 Ummaima (r.a) also migrated to Madina when the prophet ‫ ﷺ‬asked the
believers to migrate she was 60 at that time.
 She took part in the battle of Uhud. Her immediate family members were a part of
it and she lost her brother Humza (r.a). she rushed to save Rasool Allah ‫ﷺ‬
when a few people left to collect the booty of the war.

Islamic Integration: We must love our prophet ‫ ﷺ‬more than our own souls and should hence be
working to spread the religion of Islam.

 Safiiyah saw her brother's body mutilated, but she held on and remained patient.
 She was also the first woman in Islam to kill an enemy. In the battle of the trench,
while the companions were at warfare, and she herself in a fortress made for
women and children. She heard a man creeping in so she made her way to him not
letting him know and hit a beam right across his head. She kept on striking till he
died.
Islamic Integration: Women, too, took a stand for the deen of Islam. Being woman doesn’t mean that we
are weak. We should spread the religion of Islam in our families too and learn the art of archery too.

Key points:

 Ubaidah was the grandson of Muttalib who was the brother of Prophet ‫’ﷺ‬s
great grandfather, Hashim.
 He did bear all the torture the Muslims had to bear in the early stages of Islam and
he too decided to go along with the Prophet ‫ ﷺ‬when they were exiled in the
valley of Abu Talib. They had to face a very hard time there and many of the old
and young passed away.
 After Migration he was known as Shiekh ul Muhajireen.

Islamic Integration:“And their Lord hath accepted of them, and answered them: "Never will I suffer to be lost
the work of any of you, be he male or female: Ye are members, one of another: Those who have left their
homes, or been driven out therefrom, or suffered harm in My Cause, or fought or been slain,- verily, I will blot
out from them their iniquities, and admit them into Gardens with rivers flowing beneath;- A reward from the
presence of Allah, and from His presence is the best of rewards." (Surah Al-Imran, 195)

Key points:

 Ubaidah took part in great battles. During the battle of Badar he was chosen to
fight alongside, Humza (r.a) and Ali (r.a). during this vattle one of his legs were
cut off by Utba. This serious injury caused him to be martyred,
 He was buried in the Valley of Safra. The companions could smell a scent from
the valley when evr they passed. Allah had caused it to be there because of the
love of this companion of Rasool Allah ‫ﷺ‬.
Islamic Integration: But do not think of those that have been slain in God’s cause a dead. Nay, they are
alive! With their Sustainer have they their sustenance” (Surah Al e Imran).

Key points:

 Ukkashah Ibn Mihsin was a companion with valor and bravery in his heart. When
the rest of the companions migrated he stayed back and only left on the departure
of the prophet ‫ﷺ‬.
 Once Rasool Allah ‫ ﷺ‬gave a letter to Abdullah and made him the Amin, the
first Muslim leader. He asked him and a few of his companions to open this letter
when they reached their destination, on a two days journey in a certain direction.
Ukkashah was also a part of this mission.
Islamic Integration: The strong believer is more beloved to Allah than the weak believer, but there is
goodness in both of them….” (Hadith) Hence we should be strong in our eeman and bear difficulties with
patience for the sake of Allah Ta’ala

Key points:
 Ukkashah Ibn Mihsin was blessed with two divine gifts. In the battle of Badar
when his sword broke he asked rasool Allah ‫ ﷺ‬for another one. The prophet
‫ ﷺ‬gave him a wooden club which got converted into a sword. Secondly, he
was given the good news of being amongst the 70,000 people who will enter
jannat.
 Once He (r.a) and his companion Salma Ibn Akwa saw some thieves stealing milk
from Rasool Allah’s camels. Both he and his companion brought the possessions
back to their owners. Hence the prophet ‫ ﷺ‬gave Ukkashah the title of the best
horseman and his companion the title of The best foot soldier.
 Tulaihah Ibn Khualid had declared himself as a Prophet after Rasool Allah ‫ﷺ‬
left this world. Ukkashah and his companion went to trace them. When they
confronted Tulaihah, he and his brother martyred Ukkashah and his companion.

 Islamic Integration: The duty of Muslims after the prophet ‫ ﷺ‬left this world, is to protect his
religion, the religion of Islam even if their lives are at stake. Our duty to him ‫ ﷺ‬is follow his
sunnah and fight in the way of Allah and wage a war against one’s own nafs.
