Prerequisites:
1. A GPNS Approved Firewall configured to GPNS Standards and 802.1x for Authentication
2. Access Points Configured by the LSP or Selected HSIA vendor (details for both items can be found
in the 17P-GPNS Configuration Guide-Pay@Table Configuration Guide 2019)
3. Password for your W1 Network, Static IP Address, Subnet and Gateway for Move 5000 devices
(Obtained from your LSP)
4. IP Address of CAPS (Obtained from Oracle)
Please also charge the Move5000 Devices prior to use. The screenshots contain examples only,
your settings may be different

7. After a few seconds, your device should show “Select Table/Check Screen” if the
services have been installed and are running on your Pay-at-Table Server. It is
normal for the device to also download updates and reboot a few times.

Rebooting the Move 5000
If you need to reboot the Move5000 you can do this by pressing and
holding the yellow arrow button and the “.,#*” button at the same
time. Power the device back on by holding the green button.

Ping Test
A ping test allows you to query another computer on the network to determine if the Move5000 can successfully
communicate.

Possible Devices to ping:
❖ Internet Provider Firewall
• Pinging the internet providers firewall will tell you if you can communicate within the Internet
Providers network.
❖ Marriott Router
• Pinging the Marriott Router will tell you if you are communicating from the Move 5000 device -> to
the internet providers firewall -> to the Marriott Router.
❖ Property CAPS Server
• Pinging the property CAPS server will tell you if you are communicating from the device –> to the
Firewall –> to the Marriott Router –> to the Simphony CAPS server.
