● Material Science Research specializing in Glass
- Trained using various laboratory equipment to study the chemical makeup and
interactions of heavy metal oxide glasses
● Administered a talk on hydrophobicity and cleaning procedures on glass at the Society of Glass
Technology annual conference (September 2023)
● On the soon to be published paper Measurement of the Intrinsic Wetting Behavior of Glasses
Containing Heavy Metal Oxides and Rare Earths
● Presented a poster on atomic force microscopy studies and hydrophobicity of oxide glasses at the
All Iowa Glass Conference (July 2023)
● Trained attending REU students and high school freshman on safety and glass production
● Attendance of PhysCon (D.C.), Material Science and Technology (PA), and Conference for
Undergraduate Women in Physics (IA)
Operation of Lab Equipment; Laser Ionization Time of Flight Mass Spectrometry, Raman Spectrometry,
X-Ray Diffraction, Planetary Ball Mill, Scanning Electron Microscope, Gold Sputter Coater, Glass Roller

RA for Coe Talented and Gifted Summer Camp (Two Summers)
● Organized; housing, communication, transportation, food, games, activities, and safety for 12
high school students at a week long summer camp hosted by the physics department.
STEM tutoring for Homeschooled and Low Income Students
● Was active in the organization and execution of a STEM tutoring program focused on allowing
homeschooled, minority, and low income students the same educational opportunities as peers.
Playground of Science
● Assisted with outreach, setup, presentation, and cleanup for our annual science showcase for
elementary schoolers where an average of 450 kids participated.
Gallery Work (August 2021- Current)
● Participated in install and uninstall of over ten art exhibitions ensuring hanging and presentation
was how the artists intended.
Librarian (August 2021- Current)
● Shelved books and ensured patrons were able to locate and check out literary materials when
needed.
