Dentistry is a widely divided specialty that consists of a lot of branches that the students will practice

before graduation.
The students consider the Endodontic as one of the most difficult branches in the dentistry program
because of several factors that include communication with patients, emergency cases, pain, several
techniques and material, anatomical variations in the root canal system, step depending on the
second step and errors without a step back.

These factors will influence the stress and lead to the loss of confidence among the students during
root canal treatment which will lead as well to undesirable outcomes comes of the treatment.
After graduation, the dental student should be able to make a proper diagnosis and treatment plan
for Endodontic cases and also be able to solve all the challenges that might be faced in dentistry
Filed.

The aim of this survey to measure and analyse the confidence level of the senior undergraduate
dental students At Qassim University during the steps of root canal treatment and compare the
confidence level between every step and every tooth Also the aim of the survey is to see the lack of
confidence in which step or steps and solve it by more training or by improve the environment and
create a space for the student to work without fear or stress.
