The sports teacher in my class asked if anyone wanted to help out at a big basketball tournament in
town this Saturday. So I’m going to help set up the seats for the spectators – and pick up all the
rubbish afterwards. I’m not looking forward to that part, but it’ll be great to watch the match. The
tickets cost £30 each, so if I don’t do this, I can’t go!

B Mia
My sports club coach asked me to help out with some races in my town so I agreed. I did it last year,
too, so I know what to do. The competition is on Saturday and Sunday on the school field, so I won’t
be at home much at the weekend. I just hope it won’t rain! I’ll need to tidy up after the races, too –
but my coach says I’ll meet some famous runners, so that’s really why I’m going!

C Freddie
My dad’s asked me to help him with a 5 km walk around our town. He helps every year. So I’m
going to set up some drinks stands and give out water to people on the way. It’s all free! And we’re
expecting it’ll be a hot day! I’ll have to give up my usual Saturday with my friends in town, but
