SLX Separation Sleeve

 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

The purpose of the SLX Separation Sleeve is as a

remedy when a Sliding Sleeve in the tubing string is
thought to be leaking due to wear or will not shift to
the closed position due to downhole conditions.
Without pulling up the entire tubing string, simply
run a Separation Sleeve down and lock it into the
profile grooves in the Sliding Sleeve upper sub.

In the installed position, the two seal stacks of the

Separation Sleeve sit in the upper and lower sub
seal bores and act as a stint, effectively isolating
the Sliding Sleeve. Since the Separation Sleeve is
hollow, it will still allow flow up the tubing, and not
be complicated by the co-mingling effects of any
leakage from the now bypassed Sliding Sleeve.

 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

The Evolution Separation Sleeve Assembly is made up of two main sub-assemblies:

• Lock Mandrel
• Separation Sleeve

These assemblies are sold on their own, or as assemblies.

 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Ensure the key springs are of the

right tension and form so as to hold
the keys fully loaded for running in a
Note
controlled position and held tight to
the packing mandrel when the lock
mandrel is ran selective. This
prevents the keys from hanging up
when passing through upper nipples.

Ensure the ratchet rings on the

Note expander sleeve and inner keys are
not excessively worn..

 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

2 Both the running positions

are built into the running
tool which has a set of
locating dogs to selectively
run and set the lock
mandrels in the lower
nipples in the string.

3 The running tool is changed

to a non-selective position
once the desired selective
nipple has been located.
This is done by lowering the
running tool with the lock
mandrel through the nipple
profile and then pulling back
up through.
