Role and Purposes Cooperative courses given as a compulsory subject faculty, because the
cooperative is one of the pillars linking the economy with the traditional
aspects of modernity in terms of economic institutions. Besides the
experience in many countries shows that the cooperative was able to lift the
lives of the poor, so students need to be aware that the cooperative is not
trivial and inferior. Max Weber and the “new institutionalism”
in economics

Outcomes 1. Hard Skills (related to increased cognitive ability)
a) Understanding the cooperative philosophy, principal, and value.
b) Understand the history of the cooperative movement.
c) Understand the different characteristics of producers and
consumers in cooperative and non-cooperative company from the
standpoint of economic theory and management.
d) Understand the practices of cooperatives.

i) Developing qualitative analytical skill

Group PAPER AS A SUBSTITUTE EXAM

Teaching/Learning Teaching method uses active lecturing and class discussions, in which
Methodology students achieve the study objectives by discussing and completing related
problems or cases under the guidance of lecturer. The problems and cases
are taken from a visit to the cooperative and other sources.

Participation:
Individually, each student is required to participate actively in teaching and
learning, in the form:
1. Ask questions in accordance with the topic.
2. Prepare yourself to answer questions.
3. Discuss issues related to the topic.
To be eligible, students must read textbooks and other materials provided.

Attendance:
Minimum 80% of Total Lecture:
1. A maximum of 3 (three) times absents, for no reason.
2. Students who came 15 minutes after class begins is considered not
present.
