Therapeutic Percussion Sequence
The grounding process is a technique used in a sound therapy treatment after the main sound
therapy intervention" lt involves a carefully graduated sequence of percussive sounds in order to
bring the ctient gentty back from an ASC to a {nore alert, wakeful state by the end of the
treatrnent.

ln order to create smooth transitions, each new instrument conring in shoutd overtap the one
before tCI hetp create a seamless sound" There shcutd be a serisitive and gradual buitd-up of
voiume and intensity as you progress thr"ough the different instruments, starting from a very
gentle tinkte with the dumbbelt chimes cor-ning out of the 'sonic sor.lp' of the rnajn treatment.

Avoid ptaying any instruments near the client's head/ears. The heavy shakers shoutd be ptayed
nearer the feet to encourage the energy system tCI come downlground.
