• We entered in Joint Venture (Technology & Finance) with Ford Motor Co. in 1969 for Manufacturing and Marketing
of Ford range of Agriculture Tractors.
• We produced model FORD 3000 in 1969 with a mixture of Indigenous & Imported components from Ford Motor
Company.
• Process started from Completely Knocked Down units imported into India  upgraded to imports of Semi Knocked
Down units and finally manufactured with (a) 50% and (b) 80% indigenous FORD 3N series of tractors.

 Escorts won Indian tractor industry’s largest ever order for tractors. Valued at US $ 40 million
(about Rs. 185 Cr) , Escorts was chosen to supply 1430 units of its premium range of powerful
Farmtrac tractors to Tanzania which is implementing a national “Food Sufficiency Programs” aimed
at making it a Food surplus country.
 Escorts has supplied 750 units of tractors & implements to Republic of Benin.
 Escorts has supplied over 700 tractors in a single order to Govt. Of Burkina Faso , the highest
number of tractors from India by any exporter .
 Escorts has been the only tractor company to supply 400 units of tractors & implements to
Madagascar.
 Escorts has supplied nearly 1000 tractors to Nigerian government under pretext of institutional
