3.3 Tasks

3.3.1 Sensor cable, connection boxes and fixing material

The sensor cable, connection boxes, cable sleeve joints, and clamps must be visually inspected.
If the sensor cable aluminium shield is laid bare, contact your authorised maintenance service provider.
All clamps must be properly mounted and closed.
The connection boxes must be opened and checked for leak tightness during visual inspection. The connection
boxes must not contain any moisture. All connection cables must be properly attached and securely latched at the
connection modules. All cable glands must be securely fastened and tightened, and should be re-tightened only
when indicated.
The visual inspection may not be feasible at some sites, but must be performed during the first maintenance after
initial commissioning. In these cases a minimum inspection interval of four years is recommended.
The appropriate field is to be filled in, if the inspection is performed by a contractor. Successful inspection is docu-
mented by checking corresponding box.

Note
Open clamps are to be properly closed, defect and missing fixing material must be replaced.

Differential temperatures of ≥ 0.5 K are written to the file and are non-critical up to 1.2 K. Entries beyond
that value and up to 2.0 K need to be questioned. Anything beyond that value needs to be scrutinised, the
cause resolved, and the temperature measurement stability verified.
 Technical issues ILIST.
All items in this list, i.e. fault- and alarm messages must be noted under Item 5 (→ 3.6).

Note
Sporadic entries in ILIST are non-critical, but the manufacturer should be informed if they accumulate.
The operating company's equipment logbook may be consulted to possibly correlate incidents to main-
tenance, cleaning or overhaul activities.
