1. Write about what college success means to you. How will you define success, and what
strategies will you use to achieve success? Be sure to be specific.

APA Exercise

Every week in your learning journal for Online Education Strategies, you will practice
APA format. This week, you are going to learn how to cite an e-book. These are available
in the UoPeople library. Start by going to the library and find an e-book on a topic
you’re interested in. Then, complete the following exercise:

1. What is the title of the book?

2. Who is the author (or who are the authors)?
3. What year was the book published?
4. What is the URL of the book?
5. Who is the publisher of the book?
6. Using the information from #1-5, write the APA reference for the book you found. The
reference goes at the end of your work, after all of your writing is finished.
7. Now, let’s write the in-text citation, to use at the end of a sentence you are writing. In-
text citations are always (Author, Year). Using the information from #5, write the APA in-
text citation for the book you found.

Reflection Topic: College Success

In my opinion college success is not just getting good grades. When we talk about college success,

everyone will think of getting good grades, being disciplined, and doing assignments on time. However,

these may help to have good grades on paper, but it's not just the case if you do not apply the skills and

knowledge in real life. We can succeed in any aspect of life, from family to work, using our college

knowledge. In college, I can discover and learn new things every day; when I graduate, I will have my

dream job to do something I love rather than do something that I have to. "Success means reaching a

goal, accomplishing a task, or otherwise accomplishing what they set out to do–Essentially, something is

a success when the outcome turns out well, is desirable, or is favorable" (Seltzer, 2021, para. 7). I think
reaching my goals will satisfy me, and that how success means, but the important part is that after

reaching the goals, we don't determine another goal, then life becomes meaningless and boring. That is

how I follow my dreams; reach my goals, and determine another next, consistently successful.

To achieve success, I have famous and straightforward strategies: never give up, be purpose-driven, and

not be afraid of failure. I motivate myself to never stop from hard work because I know my effort's

outcome is a success. Hard-working is not just the key without a clear purpose. I have short-term and

long-term purposes; I can be more productive by short-term purposes, and long-term purposes keep me

motivated. Some may be afraid of failure, that's why they never try something new, but everyone

should know there is no joy to drive in a straight path, so I choose not to be afraid of any failure in my

life.

I don't have any concerns regarding managing course assignments. However, sometimes I procrastinate

on the course assignments, but I make myself do them on time before the deadline.

7- “To summarize, a lambda expression is a shortcut to defining an implementation of a functional

interface. A lambda expression is equivalent to an instance of a functional interface

implementation. Since it is possible to pass objects as parameters to a method, it is too possible

to pass lambda expressions as parameters to a method”(Kurniawan, 2015, p.6).
