Part 1: Writing a Good Paragraph

Linkedin is one of social media platforms to search job you want to have in the future. It is the best
place to explore the jobs and expose your profile to the potential recruiters. One of the important parts
of Linkedin is the summary of your profile which enables you to describe your profile in order to stand
out among others.
Through this worksheet, please write down the summary of yourself including your education,
organization, certification and other important information in good paragraph(s). You will be required
to post this writing to your Linkedin account and it covers (5%) of your CLO 1.

Paragraph 1:
Short summary, including that you’re looking for a job, and how to contact you.
Example:
“I am a second-year chemical engineering student at Michigan Tech seeking a summer 2016 internship.
Please contact me at jjstudent@mtu.edu or 906-123-4567”

I am a third-year Informatics student at Telkom University, currently seeking an internship

opportunity for 2024. Please feel free to contact me at willoocean@gmail.com or
081319883697 to discuss potential opportunities.

Paragraph 2:
Provides more detail about you…
You might want to start with the background of why you do what you do – why you are passionate about
what you are studying (without saying “I’m passionate”).

I have always been fascinated by the intersection of technology and problem-solving, which
led me to pursue a degree in Informatics at Telkom University. My coursework has not only
honed my technical skills but also instilled in me a deep appreciation for the impact
technology can have on society. I am particularly interested in data analysis and visualization,
as I believe they are powerful tools for driving informed decision-making and creating
positive change.

Paragraph 3:

Third Paragraph – follows up with what you’re doing to follow your “passion.” Describe and highlight
the hands-on experiences that relates to your industry, whether that be an internship/co-op, enterprise,
or course work projects. Ensure you talk about what you worked on, the problem you were trying to
solve, or the goal you were trying to achieve. Include the scope, challenges, and results.

In pursuit my passion for data analysis and software engineering with AI, I am currently engaged in an
independent study at Revou. This experience has been instrumental in honing my skills and deepening
my understanding of the field. One of my key projects involved developing a predictive model to
optimize supply chain management for a local business. The scope of the project was extensive,
requiring me to collect and analyze large datasets to identify patterns and trends. I encountered
challenges such as data cleaning and feature selection, but through perseverance and collaboration with
my peers, I was able to overcome these obstacles. The result was a robust predictive model that
significantly improved the efficiency of the supply chain, reducing costs and enhancing overall
performance. This hands-on experience has reinforced my passion for data analysis and AI, and I am
eager to continue exploring innovative solutions in this field.

Paragraph 4:
Icing on the cake-Tell about your co-curricular involvement, on campus or within the community.
Highlight any teamwork you’ve been involved with or leadership positions you’ve held. These
experiences have helped you develop strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and
collaborative skills.

In addition to my academic pursuits, I have been actively involved in co-curricular activities that have
further enriched my skill set. One notable project I worked on was the development of Mugon, a
marketplace web application specializing in musical instruments. In this project, I took on the roles of
UI/UX designer and front-end developer, collaborating closely with a team of developers and
designers to bring the project to life. This experience not only allowed me to apply my technical skills
in a real-world setting but also honed my teamwork and communication abilities. I learned the
importance of effective collaboration and the value of clear and concise communication in achieving
project goals. These experiences have helped me develop strong interpersonal, communication,
organizational, and collaborative skills that I am eager to apply in future endeavors.

Paragraph 5:
Optional- If there is room at the bottom, you can create a list of keywords relevant to your field of
study/industry.
