Introduction

According to King (2013), human stem cell cloning is something special because it

brings about the aspect of therapeutic cloning. Even though scientists have sold the idea of

cloned human stem cells to different support groups related to the patient, it is pertinent to note

that this has generated controversy not only in the scientific world but also in the patient’s life as

well. However, the author argues that cloning will have great medical benefits. I believe that

cloning is risky since it can lead to genetic modification of the cells, which can lead to biological

problems to the patient and create an expensive process.

Discussion

Cloning is risky especially in a situation where the cells that have been formed do not

agree with the tissues of the patient. In such a situation, the risk would be higher because it can

lead to biological problems to the patient. This is a major risk to the patient because when the

cells fail to match with their body, it can lead to health complications such as death. The

challenge with cloning is that it is like forcing nature to do something that it does not want to do.

For instance, when a cell has been placed in the patient, it might fail to be compatible, which is

threatening the life of the patient. It is also evident to note that this process can also lead to
errors, especially if the cells are not compatible. For instance, cloning can lead to errors in the

stem cells, which is risky and it can be a life-threatening issue to the patient.

Additionally, cloning is risky and the negative side is that it is costly. The trouble

associated with cloning is that it can lead to biological problems and when this happens, the

patient will be forced to incur huge bills so that they can resume good health. This is an

expensive process that can be over burdening especially for those individuals that might not be in

a good position to pay for it. Even though this problem can be solved through different funding

alternatives, it is pertinent to note that it might not be feasible and the cost will be passed on to

the patient and the family.

Conclusion

I believe that cloning is risky since it can lead to genetic modification of the cells, which

can lead to biological problems to the patient and create an expensive process. This is evident

when the biological process is not compatible and the risk is passed to the patient.
