An LED (DS1) is set at the free edge on the RC board. If

this LED lights, the FPGA of the RTC is configured
(programmed). The FPGA is automatically configured
when the power supply is input. Therefore, if the LED
does not light even when the power supply is input, the
RTC circuit is not configured and therefore the system
does not operate. This problem may occur as a result of
contact failure of the FPGA terminal, device failure or
failure or the ROM that stores the program.

Main Panel (2)
Outline:
Connection with the main unit is performed using video signals for the TCS, external input/output signals and
control USB signals. The USB-HUB is inside the operating panel. The functions of this panel (touch
panel, trackball, full keyboard and panel switches) are executed independently via this HUB. The
operating panel uses +3.3V, +5V and +12V power supplies.
Functions and operation:
1) Panel CPU section (USB)
• Transmits the information inbut by various switches (other than the POWER switch) to the main unit.
• Transmits information via the rotary encoder
• A/D conversion of the Rotary VR and STCsliders and transfers them as digital data to the main unit.
• Transmits the information input by the footswitch to the main unit.
• Lights and extinghuishes various LEDs by transmitting data from the main unit.
• Sounds the buzzer when a switch is pressed by transmitting data from the main unit.
2) Touch panel section (USB connection)
• Transmits the information input by the touch keys (switch input coordinates) to the main unit.
3) Keyboard section (USB connection)
• Transmits the data input by the keys on the full keyboard.

128 Aplio XG CBT TSG UL TMSE Micha Waaijer

Main Panel (3)
4) Trackball section (USB connection)
• Receives the information input by the SET and NEXT swithces and wheel switch and trasmits them to
the mian unit. The trackball section also transmits the information input by the trackball to the main unit.
NOTE that the lighting of the LED and input/output of the dial (encoder) are controlled by the Panel
CPU.
5) LCD section
• A/D converts the image signal for the TCS menu from the main unit and displays the TCS menu on the
LCD monitor
6) Input status of the POWER switch and lighting/extinguishing of LEDs
7) Lighting/extinguishing of the STANDBY LED
Additional explanation of tems
• TCS: Touch Command Screen, this module integrates the touch keyboard with the LCD screen. The
10.4-inch LCD has 640 x 480 pixels.
• USB hub: There is only one USB cable from the main unit. However, it is brached into four parts by the
USB hub in the operation panel.

Troubleshooting du Clavier

When the three rotary encoder switches are pressed simultaneously and held down for 4 seconds,
the system enters the test mode in which the operating panel can be started up individually.
In this test mode, every time a switch (other than the switches on the touch panel,
the power ON switch, the SET and NEXT switches, and the wheel switch) is pressed,
the corresponding LED goes through the following lighting sequence: unlit  green  orange.
