Drive
The MC board drives the motor in the Mecha 4D transducer and makes the
piezoelectric element array inside the transducer sweep. It then transfers the
sweep angle information that is necessary for 3D image creation to the system in
real time.

It is possible to store the particular part of taken data into the temporary storage
memory. Because of this temporary storage memory, it is possible to continue
capturing data without stopping examination finished, several captured data in
the temporary storage memory is transferred to the system memory by DMA
via PCI bus.

2. Input voltage
The input voltage can be switched between that for 100-V systems and that for 200-V systems using the internal
switch.
* Caution: Voltage setting after the power supply unit has been replaced
The power supply unit is provided with a switch to selecting the output voltage according to the input voltage. If
the switch setting is incorrect, the system power may not turned ON normally or peripheral units may be
damaged. Be sure to check the setting of the voltage selection switch after the power supply unit has been
replaced.
100 to 120 VAC S1 and S2 should be set so that indicator shows "115".
220 to 230 VAC S1 and S2 should be set so that indicator shows "230".
2. PSA-S
Supplies power to the analog circuits in the transmission/reception front-end unit.

In case of a PWB replacement (and sometimes with upgrades), the Firmware has to be loaded on
the PWB components ( FPGA’s = Field Programmable Gate Arrays ),
Calibration needs to be done. For all PWB’s except RM (CPU) PWB
Procedure:
1. Turn ON the system, Freeze the image, disconnect the probes and access the Service Menu.
2. Go to the Command Line.
3. Enter stopz.js and select ‘Go’ to stop the application software.

When the three rotary encoder switches are pressed simultaneously and held down for 4 seconds,
the system enters the test mode in which the operating panel can be started up individually.
In this test mode, every time a switch (other than the switches on the touch panel,
the power ON switch, the SET and NEXT switches, and the wheel switch) is pressed,
the corresponding LED goes through the following lighting sequence: unlit green orange.

•On Trans unit the LED display will show NO.8 if a fan error is
detected. Only if all 4 fans on the PWB rack fail, the NO.8 will be
displayed on the Trans unit. If 1,2 or 3 fans are stopped, there will be
no display.
•On Trans unit the LED display will show NO.7 if PSD have a Fan
failure.
•CPU alarming if inside temp. becomes to high, an error message is
shown.
•No other fans are detected
