Mordecai: Jasper Barbarona Narrator 2: So they took Vashti’s crown off her head, and sent her away from the King’s palace.
Royal Messenger: Rain Denver Rance (King Ahasuerus reads the scroll and presents a servant with ‘law’)
Guards: Rhitz Baluran and AG Palizada Narrator 1: Now a law was made in all the land:
Ahasuerus: “Women must respect and obey their husband!”
Scene 1 Narrator 1: Then the King decided to find a new, more obedient, queen.
[Narrator stands on the side of the stage. Hadassah sits on the doorstep of her house alone and Ahasuerus: “A new Queen must quickly be found. I can choose from all the girls around.”

Narrator 1: Today you are going to hear a story about a beautiful young lady named Esther, once Royal Messenger: The King desires a new queen. All beautiful and young women are to be rought to

Mordecai: Yes, Esther. All the Jews will fast and pray for you. (Mordecai leaves.) Esther: If it pleases the King, please spare my life and that of my people, for I am a Jew we are about
to be slain.
Scene 7 King: I don’t understand. Who wants to kill you or the Jews?
All Jews pray together. (Sings “Blessings”) Esther: The person is Haman. The decree he had you sign will allow all the Jews to be killed and
myself, oh king. I know a King’s decree cannot be changed, but could you please allow the Jews to

Narrator 1: The King was very angry at Haman, and he ended up suffering death on the very gallows
he built for Mordecai.
Narrator 2: Because the Fasting and the prayers of the Jews, And Esther’s great courage, the King
changed the order and the Jews were all saved.
