Formatting tips
● preserve all typos in the original and mark them with [sic] to indicate spelling in context
○ this includes incorrect page numbers
● mark any words that aren’t readable as [illegible]
● indicate handwritten text as [handwritten]
● indicate any text in margins by highlighting adjacent text in a comment (Ctrl + Alt + M)
and labeling it as “Marginalia: ________”
● insert page breaks (Crtl + Enter) in the same places as the originals to replicate page
numbers
