Reading Responses Part

Semester 1
You must choose and complete 3 of the responses.

1. Alternate Ending: create a different ending for your novel. This should be a critically
thought out piece which explains what you would change and why.
2. Dinner Dates: Choose one character from your book you would like to have at your
house for dinner – explain what you’d serve, why you chose them and what your
conversation would be about
3. Life Lessons: List the ideas about life that the author is trying to explain. What have you
learnt about life while reading your novel? Answer in essay form.
4. Location, location: Imagine the setting for the novel was changed. Explain and describe the new
setting and how this would make the novel more interesting.
5. Turn an event or happening from your book into a newspaper report. Use correct style of
writing. ( newspaper template page 1 )
6. Film Director The novel is going to be made into a major feature film. You are responsible for
choosing the cast. Each actor you choose needs to match the character, explain why they have
been chose-how their look, age and previous roles help them to fit the part. Pictures and
descriptions are needed.
