I am writing to express my interest in the Student Trainee Forestry Tech Position, as

advertised on the USA Jobs website. As a Junior majoring in Environmental Science and Policy
at the University of South Florida, with a minor in Political Science, I am excited about the
prospect of contributing to your team and gaining valuable hands-on experience in the field of
forestry.

Throughout my academic journey, I have actively sought opportunities to expand my

knowledge and skills in environmental conservation and advocacy. My involvement in clubs
such as GenCLEO and The Student Environmental Association has provided me with a
comprehensive understanding of global climate issues and the critical role of natural
environments in society. These experiences have deepened my passion for environmental
stewardship and ignited my desire to pursue a career where I can make a difference. I have also
worked a part-time job during a good portion of my college career. Working a part-time job has
strengthened my communication skills, further enhanced my ability to work as a team, and
reinforced my decision-making capabilities.

I am drawn to this internship opportunity because it aligns with my long-standing

aspiration to work outdoors and make a meaningful impact on the environment. While my initial
career path may have been different, I have come to realize that my true passion lies in
conservation and environmental management, and I am eager to channel my excellent
communication skills, teamwork capabilities and enthusiasm into practical fieldwork.
